The music and magic of Christmas come alive at the SSO Christmas Concerts, as Lim Yau leads the SSO, the Singapore Symphony Chorus and the Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir in a night of popular carols and yuletide melodies. And of course, there’s also a segment for you to join in the fun in our traditional audience singalong.
In 2007 the Singapore Symphony Orchestra established the Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir. The SSCC was initiated with the creation of The Children’s Choir Training Programme which provides young singers aged 9 to 14 with a comprehensive initiation into the art of good singing. This includes instruction on musical literacy, musicianship and proper vocal training. After one year, the young trainees may audition for placement in the Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir.
